Baptism blessing at NZ ‘Share and Care’ fellowship

For 27 years, St Lukes have had the pleasure of providing a community meal to the people of the Manawatu in New Zealand. Recently, a teenage member who has attended Share & Care for many years mentioned that her 7-year-old sister Skyla would like to be baptised.

Worship planning resource launched
The new Worship Planning Page from the LCA’s Commission on Worship (CoW) is up and running. It is designed to serve and equip anyone involved with the preparation of worship services within the LCA/NZ.

Further ordination meeting planned
The General Church Board (GCB) and the College of Bishops (CoB) of the LCA/NZ will meet again in early 2020 to continue looking at the issue of ordination in the church.

The missing piece of the puzzle
We Lutherans often miss the fact that in our baptism the Spirit of God comes to live in us. We need to change our thinking from ‘I need to share my faith’ to ‘How can I participate with the Spirit who lives in me?’
