If you are considering nomination for membership on an LCANZ board, council, commission or committee, or wish to nominate someone for a position, you will need to complete this Nomination Form. Announcements about volunteer positions on LCA bodies are advertised through LCA eNews and, in some cases, The Lutheran. The details of the current vacancies are available below.

COMMISSION ON THEOLOGY AND INTER-CHURCH RELATIONS LAY POSITION (10 April)

The Commission on Theology and Inter-Church Relations (CTICR) invites lay members of the LCANZ to prayerfully consider nominating for a vacant lay position. Those with knowledge and experience in education and theology are encouraged to nominate.

CTICR is a commission of the Lutheran Church and serves the church by giving theological advice and by overseeing inter-church dialogues. It meets four times a year, mostly online, and forms groups to work on various projects and papers the church may request throughout the year.

CHURCH HOUSE EXHIBITION CENTRE VOLUNTEERS

From early 2026, Church House at 139 Frome Street, Adelaide, will feature an exhibition centre with displays reflecting our Lutheran heritage, present-day ministries and service and future directions. This space will provide opportunities for engagement with the wider church and broader community. We are looking for volunteers to serve this exciting new space, so if you or someone you know may be interested in serving in this way, please email lca.comms@lca.org.au

LIVESTREAMING OPERATORS

Friends of Lutheran Archives, North Adelaide SA

Friends of Lutheran Archives (FoLA) meets nine times per year to tell the stories of God at work in our Lutheran Church. We are looking for a small team of people – to work in pairs – who could operate the live streaming equipment on a voluntary and rotation basis.

Meetings are held on Thursday evenings at Immanuel Lutheran Church, North Adelaide, for the months of February to October.

Full training will be provided.

OVERSEAS MISSION

LUTHERAN ARCHIVES VOLUNTEERS

Lutheran Archives is looking for volunteers to undertake the meaningful tasks of photo digitisation and data entry/indexing. These opportunities will enable those who want to learn about archival processes and at the same time learn about the history of the Lutheran Church in Australia and New Zealand to join our wonderful volunteering community.
