ALC – what's the same, what's different?

Like the rest of the LCANZ, Australian Lutheran College (ALC) is facing changes and challenges on many fronts. Lisa McIntosh spoke with Principal James Winderlich and Director of Applied Learning Emma Graetz to find out how ALC is reinventing itself to meet the emerging mission and ministry needs of the church.
Circumstances change. The ability of the church to fund our program is changing. So we have to change as well and adapt and come up with imaginative solutions. And that's pretty exciting because that's a creative process of seeing something new coming to life and something new that we haven't created, something new that's being given to us by God through the Holy Spirit.
(Congregations) are still wanting church workers who are faithful to the fullness of God's word, people who are willing to sacrificially and energetically serve in no matter what their ministry context is and be able to be relatable to a wide variety of people with humility. And I would hope that we are training people to do that.
