We know that our call as Christians is to 'go and make disciples', but often we see being involved in mission or getting active in outreach as too daunting. We don't want to make a mistake or say the wrong thing. However, as Lisa McIntosh discovered by speaking with Pastor Rob Edwards from Gatton in Queensland, mission doesn't need to be complicated. It can be as easy as inviting a friend to church.
Mission is about three things - relationships, relationships, and relationships ... So, anything that develops a relationship between me and another person is going to help down the track with the relationship between them and God.
If you're excited about something, then you're going to share it with your friends. Something that hasn't made sense for me all my life is that people keep their faith secret. To me, you should be able to talk about your faith in the pub.
