The Lutheran Church of New Zealand’s Council of Synod chair, Dr Johanna Wood, has been appointed as the first woman president of New Zealand Football.
This year marks the 175th anniversary of the establishment of the Lutheran church in New Zealand and descendants of early German settlers will celebrate with a weekend of events in October.
To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation last year, the Lutheran Church of New Zealand, in partnership with Radio New Zealand, recorded and broadcast the Bach Cantata Vespers.
