After a two-year delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australian Conference on Lutheran Education (ACLE) was held in Melbourne earlier this month, drawing 450 in-person attendees and a further 120 people online.
International mission practitioners, researchers and theologians from four different continents met last week in North Adelaide, hosted by the LCANZ’s New and Renewing Churches department at Australian Lutheran College.
The LCANZ’s New Horizons local mission conference program is heading to Sydney this month. The conferences are being staged across Australia and New Zealand, as the teams work together to engage with new arrivals and support congregations wanting to be more embracing of newcomers.
During the last week of August and the first weekends of September, more than 180 pastors, church leaders, active and potential church planters, and others gathered for the New Horizons and SENT conferences.
