ALC launches annual appeal
On Sunday 30 May 2021, Australian Lutheran College (ALC) launched its annual appeal, with the theme ‘Connecting through faith’.
The LCANZ’s provider of tertiary theological education, ALC relies on direct financial and prayer support to continue its work in partnership with the church, Principal James Winderlich said.
‘At ALC we prepare people to serve as pastors, teachers and lay workers in the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand’, Pastor Winderlich said. ‘This includes Aboriginal pastors and evangelists in Central Australia along with other culturally diverse church workers; teachers and leaders in Lutheran schools and colleges; and lay people who serve in both paid and voluntary roles in diverse contexts. All of this belongs to God’s mission. As witnesses of God’s love for people, you and I are connected as servants in that mission.’
‘When you support ALC’s annual appeal you keep these vitally important connections in front of all of us and help ALC develop new ways of connecting with others through learning and vocational growth. Your gifts help to sustain our continuing service to you, and they strengthen our connections.’
ALC appeal packages are available through congregations and parishes and a free copy of ALC’s Saints Alive publication is also included in the June edition of The Lutheran.
Donations go directly to supporting the vocational preparation of pastors, teachers, lay workers and volunteers for congregations, schools, and aged and community care services. Donations of $2.00 or more are tax-deductible and can be accepted year-round.
