    Church Worker and Family Wellness and Support Program

    The LCA is committed to the ongoing wellbeing of our church workers. We provide a Christ-centred Wellness and Support Program through Empatia. This is available to all pastors, all employees and lay workers paid through LCA Payroll, including New Zealand-paid church workers and employees of some Lutheran entities. Immediate family members living at the same address are also included.

    ELDERHelp is a phone number that you can call to seek information and advice on elder abuse.  Each State and Territory has additional support and services available via the website below.

    24/7 telephone and online crisis counselling, information and referral for anyone in Australia who has experienced or been impacted by sexual assault, domestic or family violence. Staffed by trauma specialist counsellors.

    Blue Knot Foundation Expand

    Provides information and support for anyone who is affected by complex trauma. Complex trauma is repeated, ongoing, and often extreme interpersonal trauma – violence, abuse, neglect or exploitation experienced as a child, young person and adult.

    Bravehearts Expand

    Specialist case management, counselling and telephone counselling for child and adult survivors, non-offending family members and friends. Services include counselling, support engaging with Royal Commissions, preparation of written statements, attending private sessions and public hearings.

    Elm Place Expand

    Elm Place is the home of support services to people whose lives have been affected by institutional and out-of-home care as children specifically, Forgotten Australians, former Child Migrants, the Stolen Generations and people affected by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
