Governance & Administration
Lutheran Archives gathers and preserves stories from all over Australia, New Zealand and wherever the church is involved. It shares the stories of the LCANZ across the church and in the wider public, and enables others to encounter these stories through research, so that they can share their stories and experiences of love coming to life.
Our church needs workers who are equipped, knowledgeable and supported as they undertake their mission and ministry service. The LCANZ Church Worker Support team assists employing and calling bodies to help their churchworkers to start well, stay well and finish well.
LCA Communications keeps in touch with you via websites, eNews, social media, and, of course, our beloved magazine The Lutheran. Our Communications team also provides support and guidance to help congregations use communication tools wisely, safely and well.
Finance is one of those behind-the-scenes support functions needed in all areas of our church. The Churchwide Office finance team is here to help you in all these areas.
We are committed to developing IT systems and processes to support rapid, reliable and effective sharing of information across our church. Wherever you are in Australia or New Zealand, you are invited to access and utilise our IT resources, through which we support your local mission and ministry.
The LCA Insurance Fund serves the LCA by administering a comprehensive insurance portfolio. With a broad range of policies, it safeguards the entire LCA and auxiliaries, including schools, colleges, aged-care facilities, churches and community care.
The LCA's Standing Committee on Nominations (SCoN) supports the identification, recruitment and appointment of suitable people for the church’s governing and advisory bodies. The seven-member committee is appointed by and reports to the General Church Board.
Our Professional Standards team works to protect the people in our care, while also supporting the church’s pastors, employees and volunteers. Our focus is on matters that relate to behaviour or safety. As well as its foundational documents, the church has Standards of Ethical Behaviour and Child Safety Standards for Congregations, and several policies and procedures.
