Trans-Tasman treasures join Australian archive
With a total weight of almost a tonne and measuring more than 30 linear metres, a precious collection of documents, books, magazines, audio-visual items and photographs that tell the story of the Lutheran Church of New Zealand across 180 years were officially ‘welcomed’ to Lutheran Archives.
A call to a season of prayer
Each year, the Local Mission department of the LCANZ facilitates a Season of Prayer, inviting and calling on congregations of the LCANZ to pray. This year, the Season of Prayer is scheduled for 10 to 24 September 2023, and the theme is ‘Lord, renew your church’.
New leader for Lutheran Media
Dr Tania Nelson will be the next manager of Lutheran Media. The LCANZ’s Executive Officer – Local Mission since 2016, Tania will succeed Pastor Richard Fox at the helm of the multi-media ministry outreach arm of the church.
Lutheran Education Australia appoints new Director of Formation
Sue Kupke has been appointed as Lutheran Education Australia’s next Director of Formation. Most recently the Education Leader for Lutheran Education SA, NT & WA, Sue has taught in Lutheran schools in Victoria, SA and WA. She will succeed Anne Dohnt.
