Sue Kupke has been appointed as Lutheran Education Australia’s next Director of Formation. Most recently the Education Leader for Lutheran Education SA, NT & WA, Sue has taught in Lutheran schools in Victoria, SA and WA. She will succeed Anne Dohnt.

Pastor Peter Hage has been elected as the next bishop of the LCANZ’s Western Australia District. The pastor of St Johns Lutheran Church in Perth, he was elected unopposed for an initial four-year term during last weekend’s District Convention of Synod at Duncraig in suburban Perth.

Strategic plan to guide ALC reorganisation
Like many parts of the LCANZ, ALC has been struggling financially for some time. Low student numbers, increased expenses and a decrease in external funding all mean that the college, like many congregations and parishes, is needing to reorganise itself.
