The Commonwealth Government has asked the Australian Law Reform Commission to prepare a report on how to uphold human rights in faith-based education. The report proposes legislative changes that would be unlikely to support the current freedom for schools to build communities of faith.

Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS), has launched the ‘10,000 children … 100 days’ campaign to support children in refugee camps and other crisis situations to return to school when COVID-19 allows. ‘Our mission is to seek out those who might otherwise be forgotten’, says Jonathan Krause.

Areyonga students graduate at Unity College
On Monday 28 October 2019, Unity College in Murray Bridge South Australia presented Year 12 students with a variety of awards and acknowledged their graduation during a valedictory service. Among the graduating class were four students from Areyonga in the Northern Territory.
