St Paul says that God calls people to serve in all sorts of ministry roles 'to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ' (4:12). We're developing pathways for people to serve wherever and however God is calling them.
It’s tough keeping up to date with everything changing so rapidly right now. We’ve curated a small collection of resources that might be helpful as you navigate your way through caring for yourself and others.
All the work that we do in the church, whether paid work or volunteer, is done to serve our Lord. However, as good stewards of our resources, we need to ensure that our church workers are properly supported and cared for.
The LCA Churchwide Office offers employees access to a wellness support program (Empatia). Empatia provides short-term, solutions-oriented counselling and coaching, designed to support you in meeting the challenges and demands of your work and personal life.
We've curated information and resources to help pastors as they navigate the call process.
The LCA expects that all church workers have access to development and training activities that support the development of appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to enable and equip our people to effectively and safely fulfil their roles.
A congregational ministry review is an opportunity for every congregation to ask, ‘How are we going?’ It can be a time to celebrate what has been achieved in the previous year and identify and understand what can be worked on in the year ahead.
You can use your LCA email address to log into the LCA Portal. Inside the portal, you can access a wide range of online services and resources, including LAMP2, Payroll and Church Worker Support resources and forms.
