Century up for LCA’s oldest living pastor
Pastor Colin Scheer, the LCA’s oldest living pastor, turned 100 on 27 May and marked the occasion with a visit from his sister Val Kriewaldt and brother Kevin Scheer, who travelled from South Australia to be with him at St Paul’s Lutheran Aged Care at Caboolture in Queensland.

LCANZ Bishop announces retirement
LCANZ Bishop John Henderson will not stand for re-election at this year’s Convention of General Synod in September–October. First elected in April 2013, he will retire after serving three synodical terms in the role.

Lutheran nurses honoured

Wayne Kroker is the Lutheran Nurse of the Year for 2021. Wayne was one of two Queensland Lutheran nurses honoured by the Lutheran Nurses Association of Australia (LNAA) to mark International Nurses Day. Shirley Klinge, of Laidley, Queensland, was honoured with LNAA Life Membership.
