Revised due date for Child Safety Plans
Child Safety Plans for congregations are now due on 31 March 2023, after the LCANZ’s General Church Board (GCB) approved an extension to the original deadline of 20 September 2022.

Synod offering to support FRM hymnbook project
The offering from February’s LCANZ Convention of General Synod will go to supporting a Finke River Mission (FRM) project revising and reprinting Lutheran song and hymnbooks in Central Australian Aboriginal languages.

Strategic plan to guide ALC reorganisation
Like many parts of the LCANZ, ALC has been struggling financially for some time. Low student numbers, increased expenses and a decrease in external funding all mean that the college, like many congregations and parishes, is needing to reorganise itself.

The LCANZ has launched a churchwide appeal for donations to assist people and community groups affected by the severe flooding in northern and western New South Wales, particularly around Forbes.

Dr Ruth Powell of the National Church Life Survey (NCLS) has advised that they are running later than anticipated in the delivery of the full Church Life Profiles. They hope to release online results with supportive resources via email in the coming weeks.
