Ordination Way Forward working groups appointed
The General Church Board (GCB) and College of Bishops (CoB) have appointed the members of the eight working groups which will contribute to the preparation of the Ordination Way Forward proposal to come before the 2024 General Synod.

Sharon Berridge has been named the 2023 Lutheran Nurse of the Year. The Executive Care Manager of Tanunda Lutheran Home in South Australia’s Barossa Valley, Sharon was recognised with the annual award by the Lutheran Nurses Association of Australia (LNAA) on 12 May, International Nurses Day.

Understanding the 2021-23 Convention of General Synod Resolution on Ordination
At the March meeting of the College of Bishops and the General Church Board which addressed the Ordination Way Forward Resolution from General Synod 2021–23, it was decided that the College of Bishops should provide guidance regarding the way the resolution is understood in the church.

Way Forward project team appointed
The project team to lead the Ordination Resolution Way Forward project has been appointed. The three-person team of Tim Niewand, Stella Thredgold and Tony Vong, met for the first time on 18 April at the LCANZ head office in North Adelaide.
