Delegates are preparing to attend the first sessions of the 20th Convention of General Synod, which will be held online on 1 and 2 October. The online sessions will be followed, God-willing, by in-person sessions next year.

Lutheran schools cohort shows Olympic class
Former and current Lutheran school students shone at the recent Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, winning at least 19 medals, including nine gold, from a total Australian tally of 46 medals. If Lutheran Education Australia were a country, it would have beaten Canada, Brazil and New Zealand.

Seven break 20-year confirmation ‘drought’

Earlier this year St John’s Lutheran Church in tiny Buccleuch near Peake on South Australia’s Mallee Highway has held its first confirmation service in nearly 20 years, when seven people were confirmed in their faith.
