Delegates readying for first online General Synod
A team of around 50 people is making final preparations as the LCANZ steps up to its first two-part General Synod. The first part will be held as online sessions this Friday and Saturday, 1 and 2 October, and more than 360 delegates are registered to attend.

Synod offering recipient announced
As is customary, congregations are invited to contribute to the General Synod offering. The recipient of the 2021 offering will be the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea, a partner church of the LCANZ.

Church farewells ‘inspirational, respected’ president
Former LCA President Rev Dr Lance Steicke has died, aged 88. Dr Steicke served in the role now known as LCANZ Bishop from 1987 to 2000.
