Spread the news
My ambition has always been to proclaim the Good News in places where Christ has not been heard of, so as not to build on a foundation laid by someone else. As the scripture says:
‘Those who were not told about him will see,
and those who have not heard will understand.’
(verses 20,21)
Read Romans 15:14-24
You and I have at our disposal the best news ever! The good news of Jesus Christ has the power to change and save the world. There are many, however, who do not yet know the good news.
Paul was aware that the world needed to hear about the same forgiveness Jesus had given him. He committed his life to spreading the good news to people who had not yet heard of Christ. Today you are one such person whom Christ has reached through the words and deeds of the first apostles. The Holy Spirit has given you insight and understanding through faith in Christ to change and save you.
As you come across pockets of peoples that have not yet heard the good news of Christ, you have a blessed opportunity to pass on what you have received. Whatever your station in life, let your ambition be to proclaim the good news!
Heavenly Father, by sheer grace you have sought me out. Let the light of Christ shine through me into dark places, so that others may come to see and to know you. Amen.
