Help save lives in Gaza: donate to provide critical medical care and support
Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) has committed $50,000 to support the work of the Augusta Victoria Hospital in East Jerusalem as the humanitarian situation in Gaza rapidly deteriorates.
The August Victoria Hospital is owned and operated by ALWS partner, Lutheran World Federation, and serves five million Palestinians, many of whom are from the West Bank and Gaza. The hospital specialises in care for cancer patients and provides haemodialysis for kidney patients. Children also receive critical care.
Forty per cent of the hospital’s patients come from Gaza. Since the war started, many patients either cannot go home or are unable to access life-saving treatment.
Through ALWS, you can help people hurt by the crisis in Israel and Gaza by supporting the Augusta Victoria Hospital to provide life-saving medical care. Your ALWS donation will support the hospital with:
- medical supplies
- meals and dignity kits for patients
- essential transport.
