Child safety requirements for congregations without children
Congregations that signed a Child Safety ‘No Children’ Assurance in Round 1 are reminded that a new assurance is required for Round 2.
Child Safety Standards update
The draft LCA Child Safety Standards for Congregations were released for targeted consultations in May. Results will be analysed and submitted to the General Church Board GCB) for consideration in October. Pending GCB approval, implementation of the standards is expected to commence in early 2022.
Child Safety Standards June 2023 update
More than 80 per cent of Australian congregations have now submitted either a Child Safety Plan for their congregation or parish or an assurance that they have no children in regular attendance.
