Pastors, lay workers and congregational leaders from the LCA’s NSW and ACT District last month gathered for three days of worship, learning and encouragement in ministry at the District’s Mission and Ministry Conference.

From rare Reformation-era books at the ALC Library to personal discoveries in the Church House Exhibition Centre, visitors connected with Lutheran heritage in unexpected ways during SA’s History Festival last month. Through exhibitions, tours and presentations, churchwide Lutheran entities shared stories of faith, migration, education and service with the wider community.

Safe Church training can sometimes feel like yet another item on a long to-do list. But for Lorraine, who recently completed the training online, the experience was simpler and more informative than she expected.

A commitment to defining a shared purpose for Lutheran aged care, retirement living and community services organisations was one of the key outcomes of the sector’s annual networking forum held last month in Melbourne.
