A three-member team charged with reviewing and making recommendations about the way the LCA deals with matters of church discipline has held its first meeting in Adelaide on 8 and 9 September.

‘Facing death can be a time of heightened emotion and extreme vulnerability. It is also a space in which sensitive and experienced chaplains can do their best work of connection, compassion and care. We stay with people as fellow travellers on this path.’

The 2020 meeting of an international mission consortium will be held in Adelaide. Rev Dr Steen Olsen, former mission director of the SA–NT District, who attended the 2019 event in Wellington, South Africa, said that this represents an exciting opportunity for the LCA/NZ.
