The deadline is here. I am sitting in front of my computer screen and I am imagining Bishop John enjoying his leave. Right now I am wishing we could swap places. In particular, I am wishing he was here to write his Heartland column.

Members are being invited to contribute to consultations as part of the church’s commitment to developing a child-safe culture. The consultations are part of the LCA Child Protection Project, which was established to oversee the implementation of recommendations from the Australian Royal Commission.

Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) International Mission has partnered with LCA Reconciliation Ministry to provide short-term scholarships and workshops in Biblical Reconciliation Ministry for our partner churches. One of these partners is Kinki Evangelical Lutheran Church in Japan.

The Lutheran Nurses Association of Australia’s (LNAA) Introduction to Parish Nursing course has been adopted by the Parish Nursing Council of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod as their distance education program.
