Congregations show their commitment to Child Safety Standards
More than 90 per cent of Australian congregations have submitted either a Child Safety Plan or an assurance that they have no children in regular attendance, indicating that they are embracing their child safety responsibilities. The next step is to ensure plans are implemented and reviewed.

Way Forward team completes evaluation of submissions
During July and August around 50 members of the Way Forward team and working groups devoted many hours to evaluating 60 submissions received from church members from across the LCANZ. The submissions were assessed against key criteria set by the General Church Board (GCB) and the College of Bishops

Call for expressions of interest for working groups
Expressions of Interest are invited from members of the LCANZ to join eight working groups to undertake the work asked for by the 2021-2023 Convention of General Synod resolution regarding the ordination of women and men.

LCA statistics 2022 returns
Thank you to the congregations that have submitted your 2022 statistical returns. They are due by 28 February 2023. Instructions for completing your congregation’s returns in LAMP2 were emailed to pastors, chairpersons, treasurers and statisticians on 22 December.
