This month marks 75 years of Lutheran media outreach in Australia. On 2 September 1945, The Lutheran Hour program was first broadcast on Australian radio, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to thousands of people around the nation.

COVID-19 infection risks, border restrictions and ongoing uncertainty have forced the cancellation of thanksgiving events scheduled in October to mark 70 years of service through Australian Lutheran World Service.

Many health workers have been struggling to obtain enough personal protective equipment during the pandemic. But when a request came for masks for Noosa Hospital, Queensland, a local Lutheran church member and her neighbours set to work and have since supplied more than 1500 masks as far as PNG.

We want everyone in Victoria to know that we are praying for them as they struggle through Stage 4 lockdown. So we’ve launched a PRAY FOR VICTORIA social media campaign and are posting encouraging messages for Victorians on LCA Facebook.
