International Mission

The LCA’s Stamps for Mission project has raised nearly $447,000 and all proceeds are donated to LCA International Mission programs and projects.

In a moving show of Christian partnership, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Myanmar/Lutheran Bethlehem Church is donating three Sundays’ worth of offerings towards bushfire relief through the LCA.

Several key Australian missionaries and their families went back to Papua New Guinea to celebrate the 50th anniversary of St John’s Lutheran Church, West Goroka. The celebrations took place over three days and included a service, a one-day seminar and a cultural show.

LCA congregations which support overseas organisations are now responsible for ensuring their donations get to the right places and in the right way.

South Sudan, Burundi and Somalia are some of the toughest and most dangerous places on earth for an aid agency to work. Yet, through ALWS, our Australian and New Zealand Lutheran family is there.
