Developing a missional culture and forming relationships that provide outreach opportunities do not happen overnight. So, foundations laid before mission gets going are essential.

Lutheran artists from across Australia have once again prepared a visual feast for the senses in the 2024 LCANZ Simultaneous Art Exhibition. Following this year’s theme, Tree of Life, dozens of groups participated in this cherished event.

With many LCANZ pastors attending General Pastors Conference and General Synod in suburban Adelaide from later this month, congregations across the church will be able to hear the sermons prepared for Sunday worship at the churchwide gatherings.

On a blocked-off street in the northern Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park, marquees and tables have been set up to serve and feed 80 to 95 locals from the nearby housing towers. They’re gathering on a Friday evening for Midtown Eats, a community-building ministry served by members of LifeWay, Epping.

The offering from the upcoming LCANZ Convention of General Synod will go to supporting the Lutheran Study Centre in Pematangsiantar in northern Sumatra, Indonesia.

Ronda Mugford is this year’s recipient of the Australian Lutheran College Margaret Pech Memorial Scholarship.
