The LCANZ’s new Church House in Adelaide’s CBD is taking shape not only as an office building, but also as a purpose-built hub to support mission, ministry and collaboration across the wider church.

Earlier this month, thousands of visitors to the Royal Adelaide Show were met with the good news of Jesus Christ at the Christian Outreach stand. During the nine-day show, volunteers shared Bibles and resources from Lutheran Tract Mission, Lutheran Media and other Christian organisations.

The strength of the missional partnership between Peace Lutheran College and LLL was on display when LLL team members joined a wonderful working bee at the school’s expansive Cairns campus in Queensland.

From a former hotel to a repurposed nursing home, the LCA’s Churchwide Office has called some unexpected places home. As the LCA prepares to move to its new city location in 2025, we look back at the unique history of its previous dwellings and some of the people who helped shape them.

What started in 2015 as a simple but unique idea – using the LCA Churchwide Office car park on Ward Street in North Adelaide to raise funds during AFL games – grew into a decade-long faith outreach that welcomed thousands of footy fans and raised nearly $90,000 for our Lutheran Church ministries.
