Through breakfasts for senior students and Bible story sessions with Prep students, members of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Rochedale Qld are living out their mission to love, support and care for their community.

As we prepare to move to Frome St, we look back on one beloved tradition of our Churchwide Office. For years, the rotating galleries at the Archer Street entrance have greeted visitors with beauty, creativity and faith in every brushstroke. But the story doesn’t end here.

Faith, fellowship and fun: these are the key components of LCANZ camping ministries that continue to connect young Christians to Christ and one another. Tens of thousands of young people have encountered the love of Jesus at camps run by Lutheran youth organisations over many decades.

When College Pastor Reid Matthias signed up for the Australian Conference for Lutheran Education, he was impressed by the guest speakers’ list and the regular worship schedule. But he was most excited to reconnect with people sharing a common faith, purpose and hope.

Participants from across the LCANZ have shared positive feedback about the live online Safe Church training format, highlighting how the delivery model makes the training more accessible and flexible. Many have also enjoyed completing the training together in group settings.

After 26 years with the LCA, including 14 years as editor of The Lutheran and 12 years as communications manager, Linda Macqueen has retired. During that time, she transformed how the church communicates with members and readers.
