Members of Victor Harbor Lutheran Church, South Australia and representatives of nearby Encounter Lutheran College and the area’s Aboriginal community gathered on Sunday to mark a special anniversary – 180 years since Encounter Bay’s first mission school opened.

In 2025, our church will celebrate 75 years of service through Australian Lutheran World Service with a series of Walk My Way events across Australia.

The next LCANZ-wide collaborative Zoom gathering, hosted by the LCANZ district mission directors, is taking place on Wednesday 6 November. The one-hour session on building a learning and leading culture is designed for anyone eager to explore how we can best support each other in our shared mission.

Ten LCANZ congregations will be supported in outreach endeavours through the inaugural grants from the church’s Local Mission Fund. The fund is designed to enhance a mission culture across the church.
