Reading this thinnish paperback (145pages) is a good way to really get going with that thicker life-saving book, The Bible. Pete and Ben offered lots of useful background information about the Bible, its history, landscape, structure, authorship, themes, etc. The short interactive chapters have nifty titles like The dead poets; To craunch a marmoset, and Bibscape navigator. They are easy to read with modern language and references, and a one page summary at the end.
