Recently, the General Church Board approved a new Risk Management Policy. To help with compliance with this new policy, LCA Insurance has created a Risk Management Guide for Churches.

The Servant of Christ Award honours lay people of the church by recognising those who give outstanding service. Districts, committees, agencies and congregations are invited to submit nominations for the award.

General Synod lay delegate details and proposals are due on 31 March 2024.

The LCANZ is continuing its efforts to prevent domestic and family violence (DFV) among its members, in the wake of the release of a report which finds that some religious beliefs about gender can be used to justify DFV.

At its meeting in November, the General Church Board provisionally approved a trial framework for a new LCANZ disciplinary system and complaints handling process.
