Way Forward team completes evaluation of submissions

During July and August around 50 members of the Way Forward team and working groups devoted many hours to evaluating 60 submissions received from church members from across the LCANZ. The submissions were assessed against key criteria set by the General Church Board (GCB) and the College of Bishops

Way Forward working groups get started

The eight Way Forward working groups appointed by the General Church Board and College of Bishops have been inducted and have commenced their tasks. As subject matter experts, they will support the project management team in coordinating the ordination Way Forward response.

Call for models for Way Forward

The project team implementing the 2021–23 General Synod resolution on ordination is calling for models for a way forward in which the LCANZ could operate as ‘one church with two different practices of ordination’.

Ordination Way Forward working groups appointed

The General Church Board (GCB) and College of Bishops (CoB) have appointed the members of the eight working groups which will contribute to the preparation of the Ordination Way Forward proposal to come before the 2024 General Synod.
