LCA bishop

The General Church Board (GCB) of the LCA is seeking an experienced lay person to fill the position of the Secretary of the Church.

Pastor Mike Fulwood was re-elected as Bishop of the LCA’s Western Australia District for a two-year term at the WA Convention of Synod held last weekend at Morley in suburban Perth.

Pastor Matt Anker was installed in the Lutheran church’s senior international mission role on 17 February by LCA Bishop John Henderson at Hamilton, Victoria.

Associate Professor Lisa Schmidt was installed as Lutheran Education Australia Executive Director on 10 February by LCA Bishop John Henderson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Adelaide.

Pastor Neville Otto, the LCA’s Secretary of the Church since 2009, has returned to parish ministry.

In recognition of the LCA/NZ’s commitment to develop a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), young Lutheran artist Henry recently presented LCA Bishop John Henderson with a painting about reconciliation.
