Greetings in the name of Jesus, our risen Lord and Saviour. His death, resurrection and ascension are our sure and certain hope in the ‘ups’ and the ‘downs’ of life.

In the lead-up to Australia’s National Reconciliation Week, the LCA has released a video in which LCA/NZ Bishop John Henderson addresses the importance of developing and implementing an LCA Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

Andy Marr was ordained as a Specific Ministry Pastor last month by LCA/NZ Bishop John Henderson at St Paul’s Lutheran Community Church at Upper Moutere in New Zealand.

Overseas Lutheran church leaders have expressed their sympathy, support and prayers for members of the LCA/NZ in the midst of the bushfire crisis in Australia.

Nearly 200 people attended the ordination service for Jeffrey Wheeler at Mount Liebig, 325 kilometres west of Alice Springs.

The General Church Board (GCB) and the College of Bishops (CoB) of the LCA/NZ will meet again in early 2020 to continue looking at the issue of ordination in the church.
