Your international aid agency, Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS), wants to say Asante – thank you in Swahili. Throughout March, ALWS is hosting Asante celebration events across the country, featuring international guest Mary Obara, who leads program work in Kenya and Somalia.

Leaders of the Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) and the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) met in Melbourne on 11 February 2026 as part of the ongoing LCA–UCA ecumenical dialogue, which has been bringing the two churches together since 1977 to explore areas of common ground and difference.

Earlier this month, Lutheran Media supporters and current and former staff joined the St Michael’s Lutheran Church congregation at Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills for a special anniversary celebration worship service. The service was the final event marking 80 years of Lutheran media ministry.

Joyful community spirit was on show once again as families came out in force to enjoy this year’s fantastic Golden Grove Community Fete, proudly sponsored by LLL. The community fete is a joint effort by Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School and Golden Grove Lutheran Church in South Australia.
