Have you ever considered whether God might be calling you to be a church planter or to join a church planting team?

Despite any fears we may have about the future of our church, God is at work in our communities. The green shoots of growth in his kingdom include new congregations being planted around the LCANZ. And now you have the chance to play your part in this exciting mission work.

When Rockingham Mandurah Lutheran Church, Western Australia, began a church-planting journey more than four years ago, they knew they couldn’t source all the necessary funding from within their community. But the Holy Spirit had things in hand.

Why might God use ‘anonymous’ people to plant churches? Church planting is really just letting the gospel run by the means of the often unexpected and frequently unknown people the Lord raises up.

Matt’s the extrovert; he’s great at conversation and drawing people in. I’m the introvert; I love hospitality, cooking and creating a space where people feel comfortable. We’re really looking forward to creating a missional community. You just have to find the place that God’s been calling you to.
