The only attribute defining a ‘typical’ student in Australian Lutheran College’s Discover program is a willingness to complete theological study while engaging in a local ministry to explore God’s call. The first student cohort includes women and men, young and old, and full-time and part-time.

Tangara magazine has a rich history in the LCA, dating back to 1968. And now the student magazine of Luther Seminary and later Australian Lutheran College is back after an 11-year hiatus.

Australian Lutheran College (ALC) launched Discover in 2020. The only attribute defining a ‘typical’ Discover student is a willingness to complete theological study while engaging in a local ministry to explore God’s call. Recognising the whisper of the Holy Spirit is just the start.

In partnership with the LCA SA–NT District’s mission department, Australian Lutheran College (ALC) is conducting a research/training project in worship design and leadership, supported by an LLL mission grant.

The LCA/NZ’s Assistant Bishop, Rev Dr Andrew Pfeiffer, has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne (CTSFW) in the United States.
