The Safe Church training program has now been modified and improved. 

Regular reviews of our child safety practice help us to see what we are doing well and where improvement is needed. Continuous improvement helps to ensure our children are as safe as possible at church for worship, fellowship, and all other activities.

Details of the improved Safe Church training program will be officially released to the church in LCA eNews on 30 April 2024.

Two new resources have been added to the Child Safety Standards (CSS) webpage to support congregations as they implement the CSS – in particular for those who prefer to communicate messages using digital media.

We are pleased to be able to remind you that a live online format of Safe Church training is coming soon in 2024!

While the next round of Child Safe Plans is now not due until 2025, LCANZ Child Protection Project Officer Mary-Ann Carver has encouraged congregational leadership teams to keep working on their commitment to child safety.
