Australia and New Zealand will each observe a dedicated week focused on child safety and wellbeing, with free resources to support communities. In the LCANZ, this focus is reflected in the ongoing commitment to submit a Child Safety Standards Action Plan. Haven’t submitted yours yet? Now’s the time.

The Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand has launched a new Safe Church Service Desk to streamline and improve support for all Safe Church inquiries.

Two new resources are available this month on the Child Safety Standards resource webpage. The Speak Up Poster and Your Rights Poster have been designed for teenagers.

Safe Church training delivery has been met with approval across the LCA, with feedback flooding in from suburban and regional congregations following the rollout of the new training model late last year. There were 109 participants in back-to-back Level 1 sessions last week.
