Australian Lutheran College (ALC) has welcomed Rev Dr Eric Trozzo as its new director of Systematic Theology and Church History. An experienced lecturer and researcher with international ministry and teaching experience, Eric has already been teaching at ALC as a casual academic since early 2025.

Earlier this month, Chinese Lutheran pastors and ministry leaders from across Australia and New Zealand gathered in Brisbane for the 2026 Chinese Ministry Summit.

A new Advocacy for Women in Pastoral Ministry team has been established in the LCANZ, continuing the church’s work following the 2024 Convention of General Synod resolution. The move marks a transition from a single advocate role to a collaborative, team-based approach.

More than 200 people – mostly from Central Australia and Australia’s Top End – gathered at Alice Springs Lutheran Church late last month to witness the installation of Pastor Stephen Radke as the first-ever assistant bishop for the Northern Territory in the LCA’s SA–NT District.

EMMY – Explorations in Mission and MinistrY is a new monthly online conversation for pastors, church leaders and congregation members across Australia and New Zealand.

Seven congregations from around Australia will be supported in their outreach endeavours through grants from the LCANZ’s Local Mission Fund from 2026. In addition, a churchwide mission project will receive backing from the fund.
