Anzac Day is about remembering and giving thanks for members of the armed services who have served our country. We acknowledge with a mixture of gratitude and regret the extraordinary price paid by tens of thousands of Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women and their families.

When the war began in Ukraine, people who were displaced from their homes couldn’t walk away from danger, they had to run. But members of our Lutheran family and friends will be walking in Brisbane next month to support those children and families hurt by war – and it’s not too late to join them.

What would you do if you discovered that you had a caterpillar wrangler in your congregation? Well, obviously, you’d invite them to bring their caterpillars to the Easter Sunday service and talk about what happens to caterpillars.

Rather than waiting for members of their local community to come to their churches over Easter, Lutherans in Canberra have brought Holy Week to life for those they live and work alongside – in a local park.

With the Lutheran Church New Zealand (LCNZ) unable to elect a bishop at its 2023 Convention of Synod, the LCANZ’s College of Bishops has asked the NSW and ACT District to provide oversight for the LCNZ until the next synod in two years.
