Across the LCA, congregations are discovering new ways to serve their communities and share the hope of Christ. Expressions of interest are now open for the 2027 Local Mission Fund grants, with applications closing on 20 August 2026.

Each year, the LCANZ facilitates a Season of Prayer, inviting and calling on congregations to pray. This year, the Season of Prayer is scheduled for 5 to 19 October, and, as in previous years, the theme is ‘Lord, renew your church’. Here are some suggestions for celebrating the Season of Prayer.

Karl Barth was one of the greatest theologians of the 20th century. He wrote volumes of theology on God’s word. Near the end of his life, he was asked to sum up his theology in one sentence. He replied, ‘Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.’

You are invited to join an online gathering with young people from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea to hear stories of mission work by former missionaries and talk with them.
