Almighty God, our refuge and strength, our help in times of trouble.

We come to You in this time of fear and uncertainty, as powerful fires threaten lives, homes, and Your creation. We lift our prayers for all those in the path of the flames: shield those who must evacuate, their homes, pets, and all wildlife. Guide them to a place of safety.

Strengthen and protect the firefighters, first responders, and all who work tirelessly to keep others safe. Give them skill, courage, and endurance as they face danger, and bring them safely back to their families.

Bring peace to anxious hearts and comfort to those who have suffered terrible loss. Uphold the grieving and provide for the displaced, surrounding them with a supportive community.

Calm the winds that fan the flames, and send us drenching rain to quench the fires and bring relief to the parched earth.

We trust in Your power and mercy, knowing that nothing can separate us from Your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
