Wear your winter woollies for a good cause!
As temperatures drop, Lutheran Care is launching its Winter Woollies campaign to bring warmth, hope, and essential support to individuals and families doing it tough this winter.
The 2025 Winter Woollies program invites local schools, workplaces, church congregations, and community groups to don their coziest cold-weather gear—think scarves, beanies, jumpers, socks, onesies, or even winter pyjamas or an ‘Oodie’—on a selected day during the winter season.
More than just a fun dress-up day, the initiative raises vital awareness and practical support for Lutheran Care’s work with vulnerable South Australians. Participants are encouraged to bring along a small contribution such as:
- a gold coin donation,
- a long-life pantry or hygiene item (e.g. canned food, pasta, tea/coffee, cereal, soap, shampoo, hand sanitiser), or
- a clean warm clothing item (e.g. winter coat, scarf, gloves or beanie).
Funds and items donated will go directly toward Lutheran Care’s support programs, helping provide emergency relief, food, clothing, and shelter to those who need it most.
