A hotel, a house, a home for our church
From a former hotel to a repurposed nursing home, the LCA’s Churchwide Office has called some unexpected places home. As the LCA prepares to move to its new city location in 2025, we look back at the unique history of its previous dwellings and some of the people who helped shape them.

A decade of footy fans and faith

What started in 2015 as a simple but unique idea – using the LCA Churchwide Office car park on Ward Street in North Adelaide to raise funds during AFL games – grew into a decade-long faith outreach that welcomed thousands of footy fans and raised nearly $90,000 for our Lutheran Church ministries.

New ALC library dedicated and open for visitors
Members of the Australian Lutheran College community and LCANZ leadership were among those who celebrated the dedication of the college’s new library in the Adelaide CBD last week. And the college is keen to welcome people from across the church to visit the new premises.

ALC leaves campus, new library opens
Australian Lutheran College’s (ALC) library has reopened at its new Adelaide CBD premises at 22 Pulteney Street, while ALC staff have completed their move off of the college’s former North Adelaide campus, ready to relocate to the new Church House at 139 Frome Street, Adelaide, this year.

ALC library on the move
The Australian Lutheran College library is in the process of moving to 22 Pulteney Street, Adelaide, following an extensive search for a suitable site. The move will take several weeks to complete, and library patrons are encouraged to postpone visiting the new library until 1 July 2025.
