Lutheran Media celebrates ‘80 years of blessings’
To kick off its 80th anniversary celebrations, Lutheran Media has launched a history book called Lutheran media ministry in Australia and New Zealand: 80 years of blessings.
The book is available now for purchase and captures some interesting stories from past presenters, directors, staff and volunteers. Hearing stories from humble beginnings on radio in 1945 to our current reach across multiple media platforms, it’s a great inspiration to continue sharing real stories of hope through uplifting and transformative content.
We have searched our archives and found some fascinating stories and photos that will be shared across our social media platforms. It’s heartwarming to hear stories from past directors, presenters and staff who have all been impacted by messages of hope across multiple media platforms.
Our ‘Throwback Thursday’ segment recently shared some groovy archive photos of On the Spot presenters Kathy Heavyside and Greg Meyer. We’ve also shared some great images of recording back in the day. To stay up-to-date, join our community on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn.
Celebrate our 80th milestone by sharing your story, or come along to one of our key events this year:
- Saturday 21 June 2025 – thank you lunch, Barossa Valley SA
- Sunday 31 August – high tea at Concordia College, Toowoomba Qld
- Sunday 2 November – worship service of celebration at St Michael’s Lutheran Church, Hahndorf SA
