Many congregations and parishes hold their annual general meetings around this time of year, so it’s a common time for changes to committee and council leadership.

If your church community has recently had a change to its office-bearers, please ensure that the details are up to date in LAMP2 (the online LCA People & Organisation Directory).

Even if you haven’t had a recent change, it’s a good idea to check that the information in LAMP2 is correct. That way, you won’t miss out on any important information from your district and the Churchwide Office.

Also, if your congregation’s website is out of date, you may be missing out on visitors or not-yet Christians joining you for worship because of incorrect service times or contact details online.

Every congregation in Australia has a ‘one-page website’. The content for your one-page website is generated from your data in LAMP2, which is another reason your LAMP2 details should be kept updated. If you have a stand-alone website listed in LAMP2, your one-page website will direct visitors to that website.

To find your one-page website, type this format into your browser’s search bar: www.yoursuburbortown.lutheran.org.au; for example, www.cairns.lutheran.org.au

If there is more than one congregation in your town or suburb, you’ll need to also add your congregation name, for example, www.bethlehem-adelaide.lutheran.org.au
