Every day through Facebook and Instagram, we connect with members of the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand from all walks of life. From our cities to rural communities, from long-established congregations to new faith journeys, these platforms help us share stories of God’s love, faith in action and the many ways people are making a difference.

Some of our most encouraging posts feature ordinary people living out their faith in everyday life. These stories are not only enjoyed by those who see them in their feeds – they are also designed to be shared, helping encourage others and celebrate the many ways God is at work through his people. That’s why we’re inviting you and your congregation to help us tell those stories.

People Like You

Our People Like You feature continues a tradition once loved by readers of The Lutheran, shining a light on the people who make up our church family.

Whether you’re a volunteer, musician, teacher, pastor, committee member, gardener or simply someone who enjoys serving your congregation, we’d love to hear from you.

By sharing your favourite Bible passage, a little about yourself, where you worship, and your involvement in church, ministry or community life, you may encourage someone you’ve never met or remind others of the many ways God is working through his people. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to recognise those whose faithful service often happens quietly behind the scenes.

Flashback Friday

There’s something special about looking back at the stories, people and moments that have shaped the Lutheran Church.

Each week, Flashback Friday revisits treasures from our past – memorable articles and cover photos from The Lutheran, historic photographs, books, advertisements and stories from congregations across the LCANZ.

We’re always looking for ideas and contributions. Is there a favourite article you’d love to see again? A story worth retelling? A familiar face that sparks a ‘Where are they now?’ moment? Or perhaps a memory from your congregation that deserves to be shared?

We’d love to feature your church. Simply send us:

• a landscape photograph of your altar (during the green season)
• the name and location of your congregation
• a few words about your ministry, community or what makes your church special.

By sharing a glimpse of your worship space, you’re helping others discover the rich diversity of our church family and the ministry taking place in communities across Australia and New Zealand.
